“The most interesting discoveries happen in the spaces—where art whispers to craft and design listens to both”

Curiosity Built

I work from single objects to public space. My work is characterized by my ongoing exploration with use, form and expression and can be summed up as "abstraction in function" wrapped in celebration.

Playfulness and the unexpected have been anchors throughout my life journey. As a designer, artist, and citizen at large, I firmly believe that pragmatic thinking and solutions only go so far. I know through observation, practical knowledge and experience, that the "Je ne sais quo", the surprise, the giggle—the shear wonder and joy that we all nurture and incorporate in our daily lives, is what is most meaningful, precious and counts.

The medium gets chosen by the idea — not the other way around. Sometimes that might be a KOLLAGƎ table built for one room. Sometimes it means an installation that belongs to everyone. The practice moves across objects and furniture, graphics and print, sculpture and spatial work, and public environments. These aren't separate things. A brief that doesn't fit neatly into a category is exactly where the work gets really interesting.

To that end, whether a commercial application or product to the one-off commission, I work and create with the intent in discovering the surprise and in harnessing its varied outcomes, intentionally wrapped within character and craft.

Commissions are open. If you have something in mind — a room, an object, a space that needs something it doesn't yet have — a brief that doesn't have a category yet. Tell me what you need.
